Our Story

The idea for a Buxton and High Peak Support Group originated in Canada. My husband and I were moving to the Uk and the first thing I did was get online to search for a local support group. There wasn't one. It was then that the idea started to germinate about trying to set one up. It was two years before I felt settled enough to consider testing the waters to see if there was a need for a support group and the rest is history and that when I met Liz Fletcher at the High Peak CVS and the rest is history.

The incredible support from the High Peak CVS, the sharing and support of the Glossop Support Group, and the overwhelmingly number of people expressing an interest in joining the group culminated in the signing of our constitution at the Palace Hotel on the 27th of February this year.
